This is Pristine Trading Group’s first statement issued under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We understand our responsibilities and are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.

OUR BUSINESS

Pristine Trading Group is an import and distribution company based in the UK. Our mission is to provide high quality products at affordable prices. We focus on ensuring our customers have access compliant products from an ethical supply chain. As an integral part of our customers’ supply chains, we pride ourselves on being a well-governed, ethical, and compliant supplier. We endeavour to use our relationships across the world to improve compliance, quality, and ethical trading standards.

OUR SUPPLY CHAINS

Pristine Trading Group is now operating a preferred supplier procedure and maintains a preferred supply list, with due diligence conducted on all suppliers.

This includes self-certification, online searching, and where relevant onsite audits, to ensure the organisation concerned has never been convicted of offenses regarding modern slavery, and to review working conditions. All members of our supply chain are required to confirm that no part of their business operations contradicts this policy.

Suppliers are also required to confirm and prove that they have taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their business:

UK suppliers: they pay their employees at least the national minimum wage/national living wage.

International suppliers: they pay their employees any prevailing minimum wage applicable within their country of operations. If any instances of modern slavery come to light, Pristine Trading Group reserve the right to terminate contracts with any suppliers.

OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity.

SUPPLIER ADHERENCE TO OUR VALUES AND ETHICS

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we operate in line with principles of responsible sourcing, including paying employees at the prevailing minimum wage applicable within their relevant country of operations.

We also have a Supplier Code of Conduct which outlines our expectations. The Supplier Code of Conduct lists the Countrywide Mandatory Policies, and we expect Suppliers to adhere to these standards or higher. The relevant account managers will monitor and enforce compliance of the Supplier Code of Conduct.

TRAINING

Regular training is conducted for procurement personnel to ensure they understand the signs of modern slavery, and resultant actions to take if they suspect it is taking place.
